The Proposal

My partner (Mac) and I have been together for 4 years now. We're more like fire and ice; milk and coffee; cold and warm; what can you say? opposites attract! We've been through ups and downs of a relationship like everyone else and we got through it. Somehow, along the way, we managed to get used to each other's differences or maybe it is more appropriate to say that we're able to accept one another for who and what we are as an individual. We no longer care about what other people think, we have decided to level "us" up.

So our anniversary is every February 19th, and it has already become a tradition for us and his friends to go out of town to celebrate valentines with the whole gang and to celebrate our anniversary.

Last 2017, we celebrated at Real Quezon, i remembered i surprised him with an explosion box with a watch inside it. He was really surprised and i was happy that he was happy.

So relating it to this year, 2018. Literally i had no
surprise for him, we had a petty fight about him not having any plans of us celebrating our anniversary alone.Fast forward to the 1st day of our group trip to Liwliwa, Zambalez, which by the way is now our favorite out of town go to destination. We were swimming with the waves, we like to go to the deep parts where the sea water would reach up to our neck and jump along the waves. Then our friend, JM, called me to the shore to take a picture leaving Mac in the water. his best friend Jay-R took shots of us and then he yelled "Uy! May nalulunod! si Mac-Mac ba yun?!". I looked back on the waters trying to find him, he was far away from the shore and my eyesight isn't at all cler and i can feel the panic growing in me not being able to see him while i walk towards the part where the water reached my hips. Then came the life guard who dived into the water and rescued him, i stopped walking towards him and started pacing back to the shore and waited for him to reach the beach.

To my relief, he did not drown, instead i heard him screaming in pain, "ang sakit! pinupulikat ako dalawang paa!"(best actor!). Upon hearing it, my nurse instinct kicked in and i started planning on the first aid. And so he was laid on the sands and i begun flexing both his feet, yelling "paki direcho yung tuhod", no one was helping me (i was like WTF!!)!! and i yelled, "ano ba?! paki suportahan naman yung tuhod!". Then his brother, Kevin, jumped in and sat on his knee, i was about to ask him not to sit on the knee and hold it down instead but he already stood up and to my surprise,

~Mac was already handling the ring over to me. People were all around us, he couldn't say his rehearsed words and i couldn't say a single word as well. I can feel the tears lining my eyes. He didn't manage to get down on his knees and then he splurged it out, "will you marry me?" Of course i said "Yes!" and slapped him (not that hard) and said "walang h'ya ka!".~

It's already been 2 weeks and i can still feel the bliss. Kaya pala, hinahatak ako ng mga kaibigan nya palayo sa kanya, kaya pala kung ano ano dahilan nila para humiwalay ako sa kanya. Kasi pala may plano sya. I had no idea. Ang saya saya pala.

We're now on the planning stage for the wedding. We're not planning anything extravagant but we're planing something happy and memorable. Will post more of our planning adventures real soon!
